Target Addict

I usually hit Target 2x a week. Target for me has become my go to for all items that I would ordinarily shop for in the supermarket or drugstore. And it's just Target OK, not Targee'. Target is good enough on it's own that it doesn't need to be fancied up.
Aside from grocery items, a good deal of my wardrobe comes from Target, yup it does, and I'm not afraid to admit it! Here are a few great things I just scored...

I love finding something like this Mossimo fluted skirt $22.99 at Target, I love the versatility of a skirt like this and may even wear it to an upcoming Bat Mitzvah, paired with a simple racer back tank and a great pair of statement shoes.

What a great Mossimo sweater with neon stripes $24.99 for a cool spring beach day or with a great pair of white cut-offs

Target is so great for basics, and I always stock up on Mossimo t-shirts for $12.99 you cannot go wrong!

I can't totally see this  Xhilaration lace top $22.99 with these flared jeans and a gorgeous wedge

*****I typically provide a link to all items I feature but i was unable to find any of these items of the Target website, they must all be brand new items, so head over to your local Target to take a look

We're bogged down here in the Hamptons with this Polar Vortex, but I can't help but be Spring-timistic, optimistic that Spring is on it's way, 50 days away! And with Spring on its way so are Spring shoes. I am currently obsessing over open toe booties and lace up sandals in neutral shades that will look gorgeous on a tan tootsie...

Hippie Chic

Someplace deep inside I think I am truly a Hippie Chic, especially during the spring and summer months I tend to lean towards the bohemian styles. I love the easy laid back bohemian vibe, a little undone....

I love an embroidered gauze top $250 like this from Calypso paired with these laid back Current Elliot jeans $238, I am constantly cutting the hems off my jeans, or cutting jeans into shorts.

I love this dress $108 and bag $138 from Free people. Free People is a automatic go to for bohemian style

Ok I am obsessed with woven belts and on my last trip to Mexico I scoured the Mexican flea markets for belts just like this woven belt from Isabel Marant E'toile $56

I was lucky enough to receive a great authentic woven bag from a friend from Bogota, Columbia, but I equally love this Woven Bag $145 from Calypso St Barth

Jen's Pirate Booty Dress $158 $111                   K.Jacques Sandal $255

While shopping recently with my good friend Jen for her 40th Birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!) at Hirschleifers in the Americana, we wandered into the Chanel Boutique. We were luckily greeted by a great sales associate Pamela who kindly "schooled" us in all things Chanel. Pamela taught us what makes a "Classic Chanel" classic, she taught us about colors and leathers, she was fantastic.

Pamela taught us that say a red for this season, may not be the red for next season or next year, or a style like say the Boy Chanel, may be the hottest bag of this season, but Chanel may not make it next year. All this got me thinking that while I love a Classic Chanel, which is a bag that is produced year after year, I kind of love something that is a little different, something that everyone else doesn't have, almost like a retired style, which for me, as my friend said makes it more desirable,

While it is easy to walk into your local Chanel to purchase a bag, there are also some great websites where you are able to purchase pre-owned bags and not just Chanel, but Celine, or Rolex or Isabel Marant. These websites guarantee authenticity and describe fully, including photos the condition of the item. These sites also give you the opportunity to find styles or colors that are not being produced anymore, or hard to find items.

Portero is a fantastic website that includes everything from Rolex to Chanel all pre-owned and as I said all items have been authenticated.
The Real Real is another great site, but this one is a little different it is a online consignment shop, again they guarantee that all items have been authenticated. Real Real offers apparel, accessories, shoes and art. You can also consign your own things on The Real Real.
Shop Hers is another online consignment shop which also offers everything from apparel, shoes, handbags and jewelry. Again when buying pre-owned items it always very important to make sure everything has been authenticated and on these sited they guarantee it.

Wishful Wednesday

I can't really complain about this New York winter so far, I mean we had 1 snowstorm and a few freezing days, but we also had a few beautiful sunny warm winter days. That said, I am still hoping for a warm weather getaway, and while nothing is booked yet, such a busy year, we do tend to be a last minute kind of family.
So on this Wishful Wednesday, I am wishing for all things for a warm weather getaway.
