Fall Must Have

Over the knee boots were all the rage last year, but for some reason I never jumped in. Well actually there was a reason, I was waiting an waiting for the Stuart Weitzman 50/50's to go on sale, and either I missed it or it never happened. So this season I am ready to commit, but with so many options I'm not sure which way to go. Here are a few of my top contenders.

Fall Hamptons Guide

The Hamptons is synonymous with Summer, sure we have miles of gorgeous beaches, the best restaurants, historic villages, but the Hamptons isn't just a summer destination, and as a local I know that come fall there is so much to do and see I don't even know where to start!

First things first Coffee! Westhampton, Southampton or Water Mill, Hampton Coffee is the best way to start your day with a delicious cup of coffee, and Hampton Coffee is not your average coffee shop, enjoy breakfast brunch or lunch at their Water Mill & Southampton locations.

Halloween is just around the corner and for my family Hanks Pumkintown is a pumpkin picking tradition. Get lost in the corn maze, enjoy their delicious roasted corn or cider donuts, go apple picking, take a pony ride, a tractor ride or just run around and have fun. Hanks Pumkintown is a top family destination

If wine tasting is on your list of things to do head over to Wolffer Estate for wine tasting with an incredible view of their beautiful vineyard.

If history is what you are looking for the Montauk Lighthouse is for you built is 1796. Climb to the top and visit the museum of this Historical landmark

While you are in Montauk if you are looking for a romantic place to relax the newly renovated Gurneys Resort and Seawater Spa, is for youafter your yoga class and spa treatment check out Ocean Skate at Gurneys for a day of ice skating overlooking one of the most stunning beaches in the world, I for one cannot wait to go skating!

Maybe a concert of a show is more your speed then The Bay Street Theater and The Westhampton Performing Arts Center are for you

Or how about an afternoon of interactive play at the Children's Museum of the East End, or stroll through some of the amazing exhibits at the Parish Art Museum, For my kids our weekend wasn't complete without a visit to the Long Island Aquarium

A romantic dinner is what you have in mind, Zagat rated #1 restaurant in the Hamptons Stone Creek Inn is the perfect spot, and one of my personal favorites

Ok, let's talk shopping, now this is my forte, whether you are looking for a local T-shirt shop to buy a souvenir, need new workout clothes to wear to that Soulcycle class or maybe you forgot to pack your favorite pair of Valentino's to wear out to dinner, Hampton's shopping will not disappoint. There are so many incredible stores, but here are a few of my favorite go to stores Gloria Jewel, Blue 1, Bandier, Mixology, Imrie, Tenet, or take a peek into Lucille's Beach Barn, for decorative pieces and home furnishings. For the best assortment of candles and so much more I always head to Good General Store. Need a trendy outfit for your little fashionista make a beeline for Baby Shock.
and for the best pizza Pizzetteria Brunetti!!

I love spending saturday mornings strolling through the Westhampton Beach Farmers Market open through November, pick up a delicious pie or cheesecake from Holy Moses Cheesecake, flowers from the amazing Pierpont's Blossom Farm, or pick up some local goodies from Sang Lee and Davis Peach Farm. Also in Westhampton Beach for surf or paddleboard rentals, or for the coolest local apparel check out Island Surf.

If you happen to be visiting my quiet little Village of Quogue, a stay at The Quogue Club at  Hallock House, should be high on your list. For souvenirs or local Quogue cool stuff check out the Lily Pad, and for all things preppy their brother store Mr.Q which is a go to for my boys favorite looks. Need a thoughtful hostess gift or want to treat yourself to something special definitely check out Homespun. And last stop for dining with the most gorgeous view head over to Dockers Waterside.

The list of things to do, places to eat, things to see is endless, but if you want to see a list of the Best of the Best checks out the list in Dan's Paper, or if you already have your favorite place to eat, shop, or visit you can celebrate at  Dan's Best of the Best Celebration Concert, buy your tickets at Eventbrite. And whether you are looking to visit the Hamptons, go to a concert or planning a party or event of your own, check out  Eventbrite for all of your event planning needs, I had no idea a service like this existed and I am so excited to plan my first event with them!!

So as you can see fun in the Hampton's continues well after Labor Day!

Comfy Mom Staple

Let's be honest here, most days you won't find me dressed in jeans and boots and that handbag. I'm not off to meetings or fittings or styling appointments, I wish I were that cool. For me it's more like PTA meetings, endless laundry and running back and forth ten times to the High School or Elementary School to drop off lunch, a sports bag or running to a game. So in all of this happy chaos you can usually find me in the comfiest thing possible. My comfy go to, without embarrassing my kids is usually a leather or leather like legging or jogger, paired with flats, boots or sneaks dressed up or down it is definitely a weekly wardrobe staple.

Let's Chat

Do you consider yourself a savvy shopper? I write about this every year and I wonder if anyone is listening, because I know so many of my friends have not done this yet.  Almost all of my online shopping goes through Ebates. Ok I will remind you what Ebates is and why you should sign up for Ebates asap. Here's how it works sign up for Ebates, when you shop through Ebates or add their Cash Back Button to your browser, you will see how much cash back the website you are on is offering.
For instance currently Saks is running their 25% off Friends & Family sale, great right? But if you access the Saks site through Ebates you get an additional 10% back from Ebates, that is saving you an additional  10% off!! Why wouldn't you do this?
I bet you are thinking that none of the sites you shop on are affiliated with Ebates, so I mentioned Saks already, but do you shop at......
Amazon? They are currently offering 7% back
Kohls? Walmart? American Eagle? Nike 10%  back!!!! Pottery Barn? Sephora? Frontgate? Gap? Banana Republic? Intermix? Priceline?? And so many more head on over to Ebates to find a complete list of stores and sign up, trust me, when you receive your Cash back, which you receive every 3 months you will think to yourself why  didn't I do this sooner!!

If I bought these Gucci Tassel Loafers which are $595 with Ebates I would receive $60 back!

Or this Rag & Bone Parka $595 after the 25% off for Friends & Family and then using Ebates you save almost $200!
