Denim Masters

First it was the Polar Vortex now the Omega Block, I am seriously over this dreary spring weather! I want SUN!! We should be wearing shorts and flip flops not turtlenecks! Usually by May I have my closet completely turned over, boots out sandals and shorts in. As a disgruntled vitamin D addict, I am optimistic that warmer sunnier days are coming and Al Roker says they are, so it must be true, which means it is time to resurrect my summer 501 collection.

I started making these skirts out of recycled levi's ( no one uses that term anymore) about 15 years ago, and now I'm excited that my favorite denim masters over at Re/Done have added the skirt to their incredible denim line up.

My Inner Bey

I wish I had the hustle to wear this, or the mad boob tapping skills of a Kardashian for this, but for this 44 year old mama who has yet to visit Dr.Hidalgo I will be channeling my inner Beyonce with this sophisticatedly cool wear with anything bra friendly number.

For the record I am kind of over this lace up trend, but these suede shorts are just under $80 are just the thing I like to have in my closet, wear them now or with a pair of tights, thigh high boots and a sweater in the fall

Rosy Inspiration

I've been so uninspired lately.
After a while everything just looks the same to me, and while I can just force out a post, for me that  just seems too unauthentic.
Until this Sunday after dragging my friend into the city in the rain to participate in the Levi's 501day event to be styled by non other than Leandra Medine from Man Repeller, and be photographed by the amazing Phil Oh, what a fun experience! After the event, these two cooped up Hampton girls strolled around Chelsea, had lunch at Catch (so yummy), rode the simulator at the Samsung Experience and of course shopped!! We wandered into Jeffrey's and came across these inspiring blush beauties...
Don't they just scream Happy Mother's Day???

You know me, I would totally throw these on with a pair of my many 501 cut-offs, like this pair from Re/Done...a Chanel belt , I am obsessed with this Helmut Lang top , a cool clutch and maybe a cuff like this one from Celine and I am out the door....
