Wishful Wednesday

I can't really complain about this New York winter so far, I mean we had 1 snowstorm and a few freezing days, but we also had a few beautiful sunny warm winter days. That said, I am still hoping for a warm weather getaway, and while nothing is booked yet, such a busy year, we do tend to be a last minute kind of family. 

So on this Wishful Wednesday, I am wishing for all things for a warm weather getaway.

The Sophisticated Slip On

I remember living in my Slip On Keds in Junior High. I would wear them until you wore that little hole in the tip on the canvas slip on, remember that little frayed hole by your big toe? I wore them all summer long until they smelled so bad they had to be thrown away. 

Well, Slip on sneakers seem to have made a come back, and in a huge way!  The Slip on has come a long way since my Keds wearing days in Junior High School, from Classic Keds to Christian Louboutin, the school girl slip on has taken a sophisticated turn into the luxe market.

Battle of the Birkenstocks

 My husband came barging into my bedroom declaring that he does not like Granola. Granola? I was like what are you talking about?? Ahh the Amazon account is linked to the Husbs email...
Well, what else do you do during a Polar Vortex but peruse Amazon, and my perusing ended with a new pair of Birkenstocks, hence the Granola reference. My response to stick up for my Crunchy purchase was to remind him that I was simply replacing a pair of puppy chewed Birkenstocks for a fresh pair...
Although I have always felt that they were a wardrobe staple, Birkenstocks are making such a come back for Spring. And not just the classic Birkenstock but a new Luxe variety from designers like Givenchy and Isabel Marant have emerged.

The Birkenstock Gizeh, is my Birken of Choice and I love the metallic

I do love the Classic Arizona Birkenstock but the Crunch Factor is too much for the Husb
